Handicap

Breakdown Structure

Handicap usually appears in a format that may be confusing at first glance but it is actually very easy. All you need to do is understand the structure and you are good. See our Youtube channel to view the video on this topic. Click on Handicap to view the detailed explanation. For example:

(1-0) 1H / (1-0) 1 Handicap

The first part (1-0) is to decide which team to add the handicap goals and the number of goals to add to the team at full-time result excluding extra time.

The handicap goals on the left-hand side are added to the home team score at full time excluding extra time. While the handicap goals on the right-hand side are added to the away team score at full time excluding extra time. In this case, one goal is added to the home team score at full time excluding extra time.

1H signifies the outcome i.e. the team that will win the match at full time excluding extra time after the handicap goals have been added. In this case, 1 which signifies the home team.

So put together it means the home team will win the match at full time. If one goal is added to the home team score at full time excluding extra time.

Other Handicap options include.

  • (2:0) 1H / (2:0) 1 Handicap – It means if two goals are added to the home team final score at full time excluding extra time,  the home team will win the match. For example: if team A vs team B end in a 1-1 draw and you stake on (2:0) 1H, two goals are added to the team A score = (3-1), now you can see that team A wins with this new scoreline and so the bet is won.
  • (0:1) 1H / (0:1) 1 Handicap – It means if one goal is added to the away team final score at full time excluding extra time,  the home team will win the match. For example: if team A vs team B end in a 1-1 draw and you stake on (0:1) 1H, One goal is added to the team B score = (1-2), now you can see that team B wins with this new scoreline and so the bet is lost.
  • (0:2) 1H / (0:2) 1 Handicap – It means if two goals are added to the away team final score at full time excluding extra time,  the home team will win the match. For example: if team A vs team B end in a 1-1 draw and you stake on (0:2) 1H, two goals are added to the team B score = (1-3), now you can see the team B wins with this new scoreline and so the bet is lost.
  • (1:0) 2H / (1:0) 2 Handicap – It means if one goal is added to the home team final score at full time excluding extra time,  the away team will win the match. For example: if team A vs team B end in a 1-1 draw and you stake on (1:0) 2H, one goal is added to the team A score = (2-1), now you can see that team A wins with this new scoreline and so the bet is lost.
  • (2:0) 2H / (2:0) 2 Handicap – It means if two goals are added to the home team final score at full time excluding extra time,  the away team will win the match. For example: if team A vs team B end in a 1-1 draw and you stake on (2:0) 2H, two goals are added to the team A score = (3-1), now you can see that team A wins with this new scoreline and so the bet is lost.
  • (0:1) 2H / (0:1) 2 Handicap – It means if one goal is added to the away team final score at full time excluding extra time,  the away team will win the match. For example: if team A vs team B end in a 1-1 draw and you stake on (0:1) 2H, one goal is added to the team B score = (1-2), now you can see that team B wins with this new scoreline and so the bet is won.
  • (0:2) 2H / (0:2) 2 Handicap – It means if two goals are added to the away team final score at full time excluding extra time,  the away team will win the match. For example: if team A vs team B end in a 1-1 draw and you stake on (0:2) 2H, one goal is added to the team B score = (1-3), now you can see that team B wins with this new scoreline and so the bet is won.

Half Time / Full Time (HT/FT)

HF/FT simply dictates an outcome where you define which team is winning the match at half time and full time without extra time included. Below are examples and definitions of the outcomes under this market.

  • 1/X – This means the home team will win the first half and the match will end in a draw at full time excluding extra time. A scoreline of HT (1-0) and full time (1-1) is an example where 1/X is a success.
  • 1/2 – This means the home team will win the first half but the away team will win the match at full time excluding extra time i.e the away team will equalize and win the match in the second half. A scoreline of HT (1-0) and full time (1-2) is an example where 1/2 is a success.
  • 2/2 – This means the away team will win the first half and at full time excluding extra time. A scoreline of HT (0-1) and full time (0-1) is an example where 2/2 is a success.
  • 2/1 – This means the away team will win the first half but the home team will win the match at full time excluding extra time i.e the home team will equalize and win the match in the second half. A scoreline of HT (0-2) and full time (3-2) is an example where 1/X is a success.
  • 1/1 – This means the home team will win the first half and at full time excluding extra time. A scoreline of HT (1-0) and full time (2-0) is an example where 1/X is a success.
  • 2/X – This means the away team will win the first half but the match will end in a draw at full time excluding extra time. A scoreline of HT (0-1) and full time (2-2) is an example where 2/X is a success.
  • X/2 – This means the will be a draw at the end of the first half but the away team will win the match at full time excluding extra time. A scoreline of HT (0-0) and full time (1-2) is an example where X/2 is a success.
  • X/1 – This means the will be a draw at the end of the first half but the home team will win the match at full time excluding extra time. A scoreline of HT (0-0) and full time (2-0) is an example where X/1 is a success.
  • X/X – This means the match will be a draw at first half and at full time excluding extra time. A scoreline of HT (1-1) and full time (2-2) is an example where X/X is a success.

Half Time (HT)

This football betting market is all about the first half result of the match and you can identify it with the keyword HT, Half time besides other soccer betting outcomes. We will only show you a few examples so you get the idea of how this market works.

  • Over 0.5 HT – This means the match will have at least one goal by half time.
  • 1 HT – This means the home team will be leading at half time.
  • GG HT / BTS (Yes) HT – This means both teams i.e home team and away team would have scored at least a goal at half time.

The key idea to note here is you are dealing with the half time scoreline of the match.

Second Half (2HT)

This football betting market is very similar to the Half Time market, The major difference is, in this case, you are dealing with the second half result of the match excluding the first half result.

This means if a match ends (1-0) in the first half and at full time excluding extra time the scoreline is (3-2). We are going to subtract the first half result from the full-time result to get the second half result i.e (3-1) home team and (2-0) away team which gives (2-2). We can now check the outcomes beside 2HT with this result. For example, if we had X 2HT, this would be a success.

Other examples include.

Over 1.5 2HT – It means at least 2 goals are scored in the second half. Using the example above we have 4 goals in the second half so this would have been a success.

GG 2HT / BTS (Yes) 2HT – It means both teams i.e home team and away team, will score at least a goal in the second half of the match. this is also the case in our example, both teams scored 2 goals meaning this would have also been a success.

Home / Away

Home and Away football betting market has a lot of subcategories, don’t worry we would break it down for you with good examples.

  • (HWEH)Home Win Either Half (Yes) – This means the home team will win the first half or the second half of the match. e.g. A result with half time scoreline (0-0) and full time (1-0) will be a success because the home team won the second half of the match.
  • (HWEH) Home Win Either Half (No) –  This means the home team will NOT win the first half or the second half of the match.
  • (AWEH) Away Win Either Half (Yes) – This means the away team will win the first half or the second half of the match. e.g. A result with half time scoreline (0-2) and full time (0-0) will be a success because the away team won the first half of the match.

  • Home Scores Either Half (No) – This means the home team will NOT score a goal in the first half or the second half of the match.
  • Away Scores Either Half (Yes) – This means the away team will score at least a goal in the first half or the second half of the match. e.g. A result with half time scoreline (0-0) and full time (2-4) will be a success because the away team scored a goal in the first half of the match ( Note: It doesn’t matter if the home team loses the match).
  • Away Scores Either Half (No) – This means the away team will NOT score a goal in the first half or the second half of the match.

  • Home Win Both Half (No) – This means the home team will NOT win both the first half and the second half of the match.
  • Away Win Both Half (Yes) – This means the away team will win the first half and the second half of the match. e.g. A result with half time scoreline (0-2) and full time (0-3) will be a success because the away team won the first half and second half of the match.
  • Away Win Both Half (No) – This means the away team will NOT win both the first half and the second half of the match.

Combo Market

The Combo football betting market is all about combining two markets to attain higher odds. Examples of this include:

  • 1 & Over 1.5 –  This means the home team will win the match at full time excluding extra time and the total goals in the match will be at least 2 at full time excluding extra time.
  • X & Over 2.5 – This means the match will end in a draw at full time excluding extra time and the total goals in the match will be at least 3 at full time excluding extra time.
  • 2 & Under 3.5 – This means the away team will win the match at full time excluding extra time and the total goals in the match will not be more than 3 at full time excluding extra time.
  • 2 & Over 4.5 – This means the away team will win the match at full time excluding extra time and the total goals in the match will be at least 5 at full time excluding extra time.

Correct Score

It is a very risky bet and generally comes with high rewards. A lot of football betting experts usually stake multiple correct score outcomes to make a decent income from it. It is very easy to understand as you simply need to predict the exact scoreline of the match at full time excluding extra time.

For example.

Correct Score 1-0 – means the home team will win the match 1-0 at full time excluding extra time.
